INTTRA Desktop saves you time

Before using INTTRA Desktop please make sure you are registered first

Step One: How to Register
If you are registered and have received your INTTRA Product Key file please go to Step Two.

  1. Go to: www.inttra.com and click REGISTER on the home page.
  2. Check box for INTTRA Desktop and choose the carrier name, if any, that introduced you to this product.
  3. Enter your USER information: Choose USER ID and PASSWORD.
  4. Remember your INTTRA USER ID and PASSWORD, you’ll need them to access INTTRA Desktop.
  5. You will receive your product key from INTTRA: INTTRA_Product_Key_1-4.ikf. Save this file on your PC. You will need this file to run INTTRA Desktop and it identifies you to INTTRA carriers.

Step Two: Installing and configuring INTTRA Desktop

  1. Insert the enclosed INTTRA CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. For WINDOWS™ ONLY. See additional steps required for some versions below*.
  2. WINDOWS™ users click START on the task bar then select RUN. Type D:\ SETUP and press OK.
    • The application will automatically take you through the installation process.
    • Note: For some versions of WINDOWS™ 95 and 98, INTTRA Desktop will install additional Microsoft™ services. Use the Directory Service Client Setup Wizard. Please note: INTTRA Desktop will not load if you restart your computer.
    • *WINDOWS™ NT4, 2000 and XP Professional users may need to log in as an administrator to install the application.
  3. Click on the INTTRA Desktop icon to start.
  4. When INTTRA Desktop opens for first time it will ask you to import the previously emailed Product Key file to your computer. Press IMPORT KEY, and select and OPEN the saved Product Key file on your desktop: INTTRA_Product_Key_1-4.ikf. The Product Key will auto-populate your company details, as per your registration – check details are correct.
  5. Individual user will need to update the CONTACT details section and click NEXT. (All fields with “*” are required).

Note: At any time your carriers partners change, contact customer service to request a new product key.

Step Three: Connecting to INTTRA
Choose one out of three ways to send Bookings and Shipping Instructions (BL Drafts)

  1. Send automatically - Connects to www.inttra.com using your Internet connection.
    • Enter your INTTRA USER ID and PASSWORD.
    • Click on TEST CONNECTION and click RUN.
    • If all 5 tests show OK then you can use this option.
    • Click FINISH.
  2. Use my email
    • Enter your INTTRA USER ID and PASSWORD.
    • Send completed Booking and SI using your installed email program, Lotus notes or your office’s email server. For MS Outlook, Outlook Express or Eudora, select DEFAULT EMAIL PROGRAM. For Lotus Notes select, LOTUS NOTES.
    • Click FINISH.
  3. Send Booking or SI myself
    • Enter your INTTRA USER ID and PASSWORD.
    • If your email client is not available under “Use my email” and you do not have an Internet connection then use this option. Save completed Booking or SI in a folder on your PC which you set-up (e.g. C:\Program Files\Inttra\desktop\files).
    • Manually attach your Booking/SI to your email and send to: desktop@inttraworks.com
    • Click FINISH

Supported Software: Operating systems: WINDOWS™ 95, 98, ME, NT Service Pack 6 - or above, 2000, XP (Home and Professional). Email clients include: Lotus Notes™ 6.5 or above, Eudora™ 6.0 or above, Microsoft™ Outlook 98 or above, Microsoft™ Outlook Express 5.5 or above.
Internet Browsers: Microsoft™ Internet Explorer 5.5 or above.

Setting Preferences and Favorites
Customize INTTRA Desktop to meet your business needs and speed the booking and shipping instruction process

  1. Click the PREFERENCES link to choose your:
    • Default unit of measure
    • HAZMAT display options
    • Language selection
  2. Use FAVORITES to:
    • Add frequently used locations to your bookings and shipping instructions with just one click
    • Modify your containers, references and currencies
