Company Profile

Founded in 1997 by the Customs Brokers’ Council, the Customs Brokers’ Association and the Freight Forwarders’ Association of the port of Genoa, HuB Telematica is rapidly becoming the leading I.T. service provider of the port of Genoa.

HuB’s mission is to foster the propagation of the information and communication technology in the port of Genoa and nationwide.

Since its first year of activity, the volume of electronic transactions handled by HuB grew exponentially; from 40.000 in 1997, to more than 1.200.000 in 2005.
 
Since its inception, HuB’s intranet has been entirely developed on web-based technologies, the first ever of its kind to be realized in Italy.

At the beginning of 2002, HuB launched its internet portal, making all its existing services available on the web.

In 2005, The Brokers and Shipagents’ Association of Genoa also became a shareholder of HuB, widening the capital basis to embrace all the players of the Port of Genoa.

Strategic agreements reached with the key players in the port community of Genoa allow HuB to lay the ground for further and substantial developments, aiming towards the complete informatisation of every activity in the port cycle.
