CMA CGM, run by its founder, M. Jacques R. Saadé, is one of the major worldwide container shipping company, ranking number 3 in the world.

The group operates a modern fleet of 244 vessels on over 80 major shipping routes. It has 73 new vessels on order to be delivered up to 2009.

In 2005, the group transported 5 million containers (teus)*.

With more than 228 ports of call in 126 countries and 420 agencies around the world (including 52 in China), CMA CGM has a strong skill worldwide network offering one of the largest scope of origins and destinations of the industry to its customers.
