United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) was jointly established in 1976 by six shareholding states from the Arabian Gulf. UASC is one of the largest ocean carriers of dry cargo to the Middle East. As the National line of the Arabian Gulf states, UASC's primary mission is to serve the shipping needs of the Arabian Gulf region. UASC offers more services than most other shipping lines to the Arabian Gulf/Red Sea regions from the worldwide trading areas.

 UASC has also expanded into global trades strengthening its operations and providing a wider service network to its customers. UASC has container services to serve the global trades between North Europe, Mediterranean, Far East, South & North America, South Africa and the Indian Subcontinent. Through its Subsidiaries and joint ventures UASC also provides a wide range of shipping related services. These services include shipping agencies, freight forwarding, land transportation, sea/air cargo, petrochemical transportation, chartering, container repairs and storage.
