CMA CGM, run by its founder, M. Jacques R. Saadé, is one of the major worldwide container shipping company, ranking number 3 in the world.

The group operates a modern fleet of 387 vessels on over 150 major shipping routes. It has 79 new vessels on order for delivery between 2008 and 2011.

In 2007, the group transported 7.7 million containers (teus)*.

With more than 403 ports of call in 150 countries and 650 agencies around the world (including 64 in China), CMA CGM has a strong skill worldwide network offering one of the largest scope of origins and destinations of the industry to its customers.
