Safmarine, founded in June 1946, offers a wide range of liner and breakbulk shipping services. Direct calls are made to a wide range of ports on Safmarine’s core services, and all trade lanes link with each other to offer through-carriage across the globe.

Safmarine is one of the largest north-south operators and is widely acknowledged as an Africa specialist (with more than 50% of its customer cargo connecting to or from the African continent).

By adding new trade lanes and services to its product portfolio, Safmarine is rapidly expanding, and becoming a notable player, in the east-west trades.

As an independent member of the world’s largest liner shipping Group, the A.P. Safmarine has doubled in volume and turnover since its purchase by the A. P. Moller-Maersk Group in 1999 and new vessels, new trade routes and new e-Commerce initiatives are set to boost Safmarine’s growth even further.
