INTTRA-Link Connects with Mitsui's TLMS System

Parsippany, NJ, USA, May 10, 2005 - Today, the Japanese import/export market has a new shipping platform from INTTRA and Mitsui. Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (www.mitsui.co.jp), headquartered in Tokyo and the largest trading house in Japan, has entered into a partnership with INTTRA, the global e-commerce shipping platform, to serve the vast Japanese market. Mitsui users in Japan can now process ocean cargo shipments on a multi-carrier shipping platform that is in their native language. In addition, any user of the Mitsui sponsored TLMS (Trade-Logistics Messaging Service) e-commerce platform can also achieve the benefits of seamless EDI systems integration, efficient and effective process execution, and better control and visibility of shipment processes.

Yoshibumi Kotsuka, TLMS Project Manager - Logistics IT Department, Mitsui & Co., Ltd., enthusiastically described the new TLMS system, "TLMS was developed to fill the gaps on protocols and formats between sender and receiver, and to realize seamless EDI connections. Mitsui has been using the TLMS system, allied with INTTRA, for almost a year, and we have successfully integrated with six ocean carriers, four custom house brokers/freight forwarders, and one NVOCC.

Tony Wines, Managing Director, Asia - Pacific Region, INTTRA, was equally enthusiastic, "Working with a prestigious partner like Mitsui, a market leader in technological development in the region, is a great honor for INTTRA. Mitsui's TLMS system is fully integrated with INTTRA and users have already seen shipment processes improve, becoming faster, easier and more reliable."

INTTRA's e-commerce platform offers a comprehensive range of e-commerce tools, including: Tender, Sailing Schedules, Booking, Shipping Instructions, Bill of Lading, Track & Trace, and Reports. Accessing the INTTRA platform is simple, using any combination of their channel solutions; INTTRA-Link (EDI-based, system-to-system connection), INTTRA-Desktop (off-line PC application), or INTTRA-Act (web-based application).
