INTTRA to Open Offices in Key Markets
August 10, 2004
Parsippany, New Jersey, USA, - August 10, 2004 - INTTRA (www.inttra.com), the leading provider of e-business ocean logistics services, announced today its plans to open offices in Miami, Shanghai, Mumbai, and Cape Town. The addition of these offices represents INTTRA's commitment to fulfill the growing customer demand for e-commerce products and services in these regions. This expansion of the INTTRA network will be complete by September 2004.
Latin America has been one of the fastest growing regions for INTTRA, with more than 100 customers already actively using the portal. INTTRA and its carriers have successfully promoted INTTRA-Act and INTTRA-Desktop products in this market, and together, they have met the need for fast and accurate information flow between customers and carriers. INTTRA's new Latin America regional headquarters, located in Miami, will help INTTRA maintain its fast-paced growth and deliver the same high-level customer service.
China has also been a fast growing, large volume market for INTTRA. Market support from cargo agents, class A forwarders, and INTTRA's carriers have been rewarding, and INTTRA wishes to expand its local presence in this market by providing dedicated sales, inside sales and project specialist personnel. INTTRA's new China & Korea region, with headquarters in Shanghai, will allow INTTRA to serve the unique requirements of this rapidly expanding market.
Additionally, INTTRA carriers have requested that the INTTRA suite of products be delivered to new markets and customers. By leveraging INTTRA's strong carrier relationships in India and South Africa, INTTRA expects to see significant volumes and volume growth in these areas. These new markets, along with INTTRA's existing staff in Singapore, will form INTTRA's Indian Ocean region with headquarters in Cape Town.
In commenting on this network expansion, Michael Schütt Nielsen, Senior Vice President, says, "INTTRA carriers and their customers have been instrumental in driving INTTRA volumes for the past several years. We are pleased that INTTRA services have been requested in these new markets and are confident that with our history of strong carrier support, we will be able to offer more customers the benefits of e-commerce."
