Port of Hamburg portal to connect its 700 members to INTTRA carriers via INTTRA-LINK solution
Parsippany, NJ and Hamburg, Germany - July 1, 2002 - INTTRA (www.inttra.com), the leading provider of business-to-business ocean freight services, announced today that it has been selected by DAKOSY (DatenKommunikationsSystem AG - Data Communication System Plc) (www.dakosy.de) to provide booking management services to members of the DAKOSY shipping network. INTTRA will extend seamless connection to DAKOSY's members via INTTRA-LINK, a solution which connects the commercial and proprietary business systems of shippers, forwarders, and consignees to the network of INTTRA carriers. DAKOSY, the Port of Hamburg's portal for approximately 400 freight forwarders, 100 direct shippers, and 36 port service providers and authorities, is a world leader in e-business services to the transport logistics industry.
DAKOSY will offer a booking request and confirmation module to its members via direct connectivity through INTTRA-LINK. In addition, INTTRA will provide container event visibility to the members of DAKOSY through an additional module which DAKOSY will make available to its members. INTTRA presently has connectivity to almost 50 percent of the global ocean containerized trade. DAKOSY's selection of INTTRA creates economic efficiency for its members while expanding the reach of the widely adopted INTTRA standards to a broader audience.
