Hong Kong, China and Wellington, New Zealand - June 5, 2002 - INTTRA (www.inttra.com), the leading provider of business-to-business ocean freight services, today announced that NZMP (www.nzmp.com), the world's largest dairy ingredients organization, has successfully implemented INTTRA's electronic and Web-based services to consolidate and support its transportation business process to over 100 countries around the globe. NZMP has adopted INTTRA-LINK for direct connectivity to its internal back office supply chain system as well as INTTRA-ACT for online access to all its container shipments, and plans to use INTTRA's services to manage all its shipments of dairy products. NZMP exports more than 100,000 TEU per annum, which represents approximately 20 percent of New Zealand's containerized exports.
Nigel Jones, General Manager, Logistics, NZMP said, "We selected INTTRA to deploy a solution that integrates our existing business operations with the ocean freight processes of our carriers. As a result, we have gained efficiencies and will be able to provide global visibility to our regional operating companies. Supported by a highly committed working group made up of key representatives from INTTRA, P&O Nedlloyd, Maersk Sealand, and NZMP, INTTRA was able to integrate its complete system in an astonishingly fast period of just one month.
"We considered a number of solutions, but decided upon INTTRA and its network which has already grown to cover most of our container volume. Together with the working group, we were able to develop and implement improved business processes for our organization. We're anticipating benefits in verifying shipment data, tracking and reviewing the status of customer orders, and eliminating data errors."
Paul Stephen, General Manager INTTRA Asia said, "As a leader in its field, NZMP has always been a visionary for product quality, service, and competition. We are pleased that INTTRA was selected and integrated as a key piece of NZMP's electronic commerce strategy. By leveraging INTTRA-LINK, NZMP will further its position in the industry and strengthen its visionary status."
