Elite Paloume Forwarders Speed Bill of Lading Process through INTTRA: Increasing Efficiency and Customer Satisfaction

August 21, 2006

Antwerp, Belgium, August 21, 2006 - Elite Paloumé Forwarders, a leading global logistics provider to the petrochemical, chemical and food industries, uses INTTRA to speed its Bill of Lading process.

With 22 of the world’s largest ocean carriers in its network, INTTRA represents over 61 percent of the ocean freight capacity among the world’s top carriers, and is the largest e-commerce platform for the ocean freight industry.  The connection to Elite Paloumé Forwarders through the INTTRA-Link, EDI-based product, not only produces increased efficiency for Elite Paloumé Forwarders and its customers worldwide, but helps boost global e-commerce.

Through INTTRA-Link, Elite Paloumé is now able to send electronic Bill of Lading (B/L) instructions at a push of a button to all carriers in the INTTRA multi-carrier network.  Before adopting INTTRA’s solution, Patrick Frederickx, Managing Director of Elite Paloumé Forwarders said, “We generated the B/L instruction from our system and sent it by courier.  Now using INTTRA-Link, all the relevant information concerning the B/L is sent in the form of an EDI message to the carriers.  This means that the information does not have to be re-keyed, so we can ensure greater accuracy.”

In addition to streamlining the document flow “INTTRA offers the ability to consult and modify the draft Bill of Lading online.  In this way we can obtain a document that fully meets our requirements, saving time and the need to re-work documents,” added Frederickx.

Michael Nielsen, INTTRA’s Senior Vice President, Global Commercial Sales, points out that customers such as Elite Paloumé get a major lift from INTTRA-Link, which provides the tools that enable a supply chain system to interface with INTTRA’s multi-carrier network via one simple connection.  Further, he said, “INTTRA’s I-Link team, located around the world, guides customers through the integration process and helps them benefit from the industry standards established by INTTRA.  Using INTTRA adds value through the availability of new tools and capabilities,” he said.

And Army Pedersen, INTTRA’s Managing Director for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, said INTTRA was, “delighted to be collaborating with such a forward-thinking and e-commerce-capable company as Elite Paloumé.”  He pointed out that the forwarder has an international network of offices providing customers with a complete supply chain management system, which is helping set a standard for global e-commerce.
