Major Alliance of European Freight Forwarders Connects to INTTRA

January 15, 2007

Copenhagen, Denmark, January 15, 2007 - A group of leading European freight forwarders has selected INTTRA to standardize electronic booking, shipping instructions, Bills of Lading and track and trace information for their customers via a new portal called EURTEAM, an initiative announced in Hamburg last month.

INTTRA is the largest e-commerce platform for the ocean industry with 22 of the world’s largest ocean carriers in its network, representing 61 percent of the ocean freight capacity among the world’s top carriers.

The five founders of EURTEAM -- Asta Logistik Grupo (Spain), Daher (France), Leschaco, (Germany), The Warrant Group (United Kingdom) and, U.Del Corona Scardigli (Italy) -- are leaders in providing services to the chemical industry.  Through the EURTEAM Web portal, the forwarders expect to streamline their services to customers through one simple interface.

According to Thomas Ejsing, INTTRA’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region Sales Manager, two members of the EURTEAM alliance - Leschaco and The Warrant Group - have enjoyed the benefits of using an INTTRA-Link (EDI) connection for the last few years.  Susanne Lotz, IT Project Manager, Leschaco said “Using INTTRA has enabled us to reach the bigger part of our carrier network through one international portal.”  And, David Roff, Warrant Group’s IT Manager said, “INTTRA has streamlined the process of sending shipping instructions and receiving Web-based Bills of Lading and status reports.”

Ian Jones, Operations Director for Warrant Group plc said the connection to INTTRA will enable EURTEAM to reduce complexity and improve flexibility for customers.  “EURTEAM customers will have the benefit of access to the combined strength of our specialized local services across Europe and the efficiency of standardized electronic connectivity to their major ocean carriers.”

"The EURTEAM initiative illustrates the shipping industry’s continued adoption and value of
e-commerce platforms to improve service levels and reduce costs.  We are delighted to support the EURTEAM initiative and to provide standardized connectivity to all ocean carriers.  With INTTRA, it’s no longer necessary to have multiple direct connections to carriers,” said Jocelyn Hansen, INTTRA’s Sales Manager for United Kingdom (UK) and Benelux countries.
