November 12, 2007
HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM, November 12, 2007 - To meet the demands of a growing market, INTTRA has appointed a sales manager to serve Vietnam and provide local support for INTTRA’s multi-carrier, e-commerce shipping customers.
INTTRA is the world’s largest e-commerce platform for the ocean industry, with more than 200,000 container orders initiated on the platform per week and representing almost 10 percent of global ocean container trade per year.
RenYuh Kay, INTTRA Sales Director, South East Asia, has announced the appointment of
Co Nguyen in the position of Regional Sales Manager, citing the country’s fast-growing market and emphasis on building an IT infrastructure conducive to e-commerce, while promoting global trade.
“Building awareness about the benefits of working with INTTRA’s global e-commerce shipping platform and network of ocean carriers is an important goal for the Vietnamese market where container growth has doubled in the last year. We believe it is important for INTTRA to be present in this fast-growing export market at an early stage. The efficiencies that electronic submission of shipping transactions brings to carriers and their customers, both exporters and logistics providers, add great value to their organizations,” said Mr. Kay.
“The INTTRA suite of e-commerce solutions enables customers to create and manage their shipping documentation online or offline. The shipping documents are then sent via INTTRA to the ocean carrier of the customer’s choice via e-mail or web services,” added Paul Stephen, INTTRA Managing Director, APAC region. He said that providing a local presence “in this region will help us better serve our carriers, shippers and forwarders and meet the increasing demand for e-commerce that improves efficiency and helps companies stay competitive in global markets.”
