INTTRA Named Outstanding Employer by New Jersey Business & Industry Association

October 17, 2007

Organization and People Development Department Integral to INTTRA’s Growth and Success

Parsippany, NJ, October 17, 2007 - INTTRA, the leading e-commerce portal for the ocean freight industry, has been named Outstanding Employers by the New Jersey Business & Industry Association’s (NJBIA) Awards for Excellence. The awards were presented on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at The Pines Manor in Edison, NJ.

The Outstanding Employer Award is presented to companies that demonstrate a creative and forward-looking approach to managing their human resources. Every year, NJBIA honors a select group of employers from among its 23,000 members for their outstanding achievements in four categories: Job Creation, for exceptional employment expansion; Outstanding Employer, for outstanding workforce management practices; Environmental Quality, for protection of the environment; and, Public Service, for dedicated community service.  All NJBIA members in good standing are eligible to be nominated for these annual awards.  The winners are selected by an independent panel of judges, who volunteer their time to conduct the judging.  Mercadien P.C. verified the information supplied by the winning applicants.

INTTRA, one of three companies to be honored this year, was selected based on its commitment to the training and development of its staff and the creation of the Organization and People Development (OPD) department, which provides employees with programs that emphasize transparency, alignment and teamwork.  The management team at INTTRA is committed to investing in these programs as they are critical to the development of the organization and the company’s ability to create value in the marketplace.

INTTRA’s sales are expanding at over 100 percent a year with 13 offices around the world.  Lisa Bell, Vice President of INTTRA’s Organization and People Development department believes that INTTRA’s corporate growth is inextricably linked to employee growth, which is fostered through OPD training and talent management strategies. “The continued development of our employees, through training programs and skill-focused workshops, ensures the continued development of INTTRA as a whole.”

Ken Bloom, CEO of INTTRA, says that “by nurturing team building and accountability, employees know that working at INTTRA is not only about achieving goals but also about creating value that will support the overall company strategy.”  INTTRA’s OPD programs benefit employees by providing them with an extensive understanding of their role within their team, business unit and the organization as a whole, ensuring that they truly understand how their work benefits the organization.  “We are proud of this distinct acknowledgment by The New Jersey Business & Industry Association and honored to be recognized for our efforts in managing human resources,” said Bloom.
