CMA CGM Launches First INTTRA eInvoice Platform in North America

October 13, 2009

Web-based Pilot Program Designed to Reduce Costs and Errors In Invoicing Process

PARSIPPANY, NJ, USA / CMA CGM (America) LLC (Oct. 13, 2009) – CMA CGM, the world's third largest container shipping company, announced today that it is piloting INTTRA's Web-based eInvoice solution with select customers in North America. As the leading e-commerce platform for the ocean freight industry, INTTRA's system will enable CMA CGM and its customers to submit, receive, review and process invoices more efficiently and accurately.

"Our customers in North America have welcomed this cost savings initiative," said Terry Grange, senior director, eCommerce, CMA CGM (America). "We anticipate that it will significantly help both our customers and CMA CGM cut down on the time and costs associated with the payment process."

CMA CGM's pilot program in North America marks an important milestone in the introduction of an industry invoicing platform for streamlining the submission, dispute resolution and payment processes for the ocean shipping industry. Until now, these processes included many manual steps that limited accuracy and increased operational costs. In addition, customers have had to navigate multiple systems across the industry when doing business with different carriers. With INTTRA's eInvoice system, CMA CGM's customers now are able to manage the time-labored process of invoicing with minimal paper handling in a more cost-effective way through one fully integrated solution.

"INTTRA is pleased to be helping our customers streamline their invoicing process and find cost savings," said Ivan Latanision, INTTRA's vice president of product management. "CMA CGM is leading the way for its customers with the use of INTTRA's eInvoice platform."
