Market Demand for Multi-Carrier Ecommerce Underscored by INTTRA Transaction Milestone

Parsippany, NJ, October 24, 2011 –INTTRA, the leading provider of e-commerce solutions for the ocean freight industry, has reported that e-commerce usage in ocean shipping has reached an all-time high, showing an increased demand for streamlined and optimized business processes throughout the industry. INTTRA reported a record-breaking two million container orders initiated through its portal per month for the past two months, and is expected to process more than 22 million container orders in 2011, representing more than 14% of global container trade.
INTTRA reports that China continues to show the highest number of container transactions per month, as well as year-over-year increases in e-commerce usage. Significant increases in e-commerce usage have also been reported in the U.S., as well as in three of the top ten emerging markets, including India, Chile and Indonesia.
