INTTRA Alliance Network Grows to 70+ Members
Contribute 11% Container Transactions on INTTRA Platform as Customers Access the Largest Network of Ocean Carriers and NVOs
Parsippany, NJ, February 2, 2012—INTTRA, the leading provider of e-commerce solutions for the ocean freight industry, today announces significant expansion of its global alliance network to a total of 70 information solutions providers. The INTTRA Alliance network added 12 new members in 2011, and during the same period, transaction volumes from alliance network members grew over 20% with EDI transactions growing in excess of 28%. The INTTRA software alliance network consists of global software vendors, information service providers and port community systems that connect their customers to INTTRA’s standardized multi-carrier transportation network which includes over thirty of the world’s largest ocean carriers and NVOCCs.
The aim of the global shipping community today is to streamline their supply chain operations to reduce complexity and eliminate inefficiencies. Information management solutions providers that connect to INTTRA enable their shipper customers to optimize their IT investment and enhance their transportation network resources with increased visibility, faster and more accurate document flow, and the most efficient way to process ocean shipments.
INTTRA’s alliance network contributes over 11% of the container transactions initiated through the INTTRA platform. Substantial growth is expected to continue in 2012 as software providers and their customers clearly see the benefits of an open, independent and flexible multi-carrier network connection for international trade. Over 2 million transactions are processed by INTTRA each month, which represents more than 15% of global ocean container trade.
